NBA Draft
James Ennis was selected in the 2013 NBA draft in the second round under the overall 50th number by the Atlanta Hawks club, but was subsequently sold to the Miami Heat team [1] . In the summer of 2013, he played for the “Hit” in the NBA Summer League [2] . The Miami club wanted the player to play at the Sioux Falls Development League club. The Miami Heat could not, due to restrictions, sign James Ennis to the NBA minimum wage. In the development league, the player could earn 25 thousand US dollars, so he decided to play in Australia [3] .
On October 29, 2014, Ennis made his NBA debut at the opening of the Miami Heat - Washington Wizards season. For 14 minutes of the game, he scored 5 points and made 2 rebounds.
On November 10, 2015, Ennis, along with Mario Chalmers, was exchanged for the Memphis Grizzlies team for Jarnell Stokes and Beno Udrich [4] .
