Career
Walter started his football career in 2002 at the Argentine club “El Expreso de El Trebol”, in 2004, the midfielder joined the youth team of the Spanish “ Atletico Madrid ”.
In the summer of 2005, the player was loaned to Toledo , speaking at Tercer .
After only 5 matches in a year, Walter returned to Madrid, where he played for Atletico Madrid B for one season. In the summer transfer window of 2007, Iglesias, unable to break into the base, moved to Greece, where he signed a contract with " Larisa ". Walter quickly became a player in the main team and attracted the attention of other clubs, but the Argentine remained in the team until the end of 2011. On July 16, 2009, the midfielder made his debut in European competitions, entering the field in the Europa League qualifying meeting [2] .
At the end of 2011, having played half a year after the departure of “Larisa” according to the results of the 2010/11 season in Beta Ethniki , Walter moved to the capital “ Atromitos ”. The Argentine held his first meeting for the new team on February 19, 2012 [3] . Iglesias took part in the final game of the Cup of Greece against Olympiacos , equalized the score in the match and turned it into overtime, but Atromitos lost to the Prayuts in extra time [4] . On September 24, 2012, Walter was marked by the first goal scored for Atromitos, this happened in a meeting with Panathinaikos [5] . Next season, again in the game with “Pao”, Iglesias made a double and brought his team the victory with a score of 2: 1 [6] .
On February 25, 2014, the Chinese " Changchun Yatai " bought out the transfer of Walter [7] . The player has signed a contract for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal for one more. The debut match in the Chinese Championship Iglesias held March 8, 2014 [8] . Two rounds later, the midfielder was marked with a goal scored by the Guangzhou Evergrand [9] .
In January 2015, the Argentine returned to Greece, concluding an agreement for a period up to June 2016 with Asteras [10] .
