World League 2015 (volleyball)

The list of participants and the format of the tournament were approved on October 31, 2014. For the first time, 32 national teams were allowed to participate, which is 4 more than last year. The teams are divided into three divisions depending on the position in the world ranking and the current balance of power in world volleyball.

Within the framework of the intercontinental round, teams of the first and second divisions played in four circles with paired matches on the traveling calendar, and in the third division - in two circles according to the tour system. When allocating places in groups, the main criterion was the number of victories.

In the final round of the first division (“Final Six”), which was held in Rio de Janeiro , the Brazil national team came out as its organizer, two best teams from groups A and B, and also the winner of the “Final Four” in Varna with the participation of the strongest teams from the second division teams (C, D, E) and the Bulgarian national team. The “Final Four” for the teams of the third division was held in Bratislava .
