The Institute dealt with issues related to the production and use of mineral fertilizers, methods of enrichment and processing of raw materials, the use of fertilizers in agriculture, develops methods for producing sulfuric acid, extraction phosphoric acid, phosphorus-containing fertilizers and feed phosphates, and studies the effectiveness of fertilizer application [1] .
Composition
The institute includes laboratories: fertilizer and sulfuric acid technologies; physical and chemical research; environmental protection; development of equipment for the production of fertilizers and sulfuric acid; new methods of analysis; standardization; patent research; technical and economic research; agrochemical.
The Institute has a branch in the city of Voskresensk, Moscow Region, a pilot plant in Moscow, and a base laboratory in the city of Gomel ; agrotechnical experimental stations in the Moscow region - Dolgoprudnaya and Ramenskaya; experimental field Lyubertsky in the Moscow region. Some of the experimental stations, fields, and laboratories previously available at the institute turned out to be after the collapse of the USSR in other states (Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkmenistan)
The institute has graduate school. Scientific works of the institute are published in the collections “Transactions” (“Transactions of the NRU”) [2] .
Activities
During the work of the Y. V. Samoilov Institute of Fertilizers and Insectofungicides, about 80 large-tonnage plants for the production of mineral fertilizers and industrial salts, sulfuric, phosphoric acids using the hemihydrate method were commissioned.
Rewards
