All-Russian Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Parasitology of Animals and Plants named after KI Scriabin (Also known as GNU VIGIS ) is a research institute in Moscow .

History
The All-Russian Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Parasitology of Animals and Plants named after KI Scriabin was formed in 1932 thanks to the helminthologist KI Skryabin (1878-1972). He was the first director of the institute until 1957 [1] .
In 1935, the Scientific Council was established at the Institute [1] .
In 1938, the Academic Council was given the opportunity to award scientific degrees to the candidates of veterinary, medical and biological sciences in helminthology [1] .
In 1939, it was renamed the All-Russian Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Parasitology of Animals and Plants named after KI Scriabin [1] .
In 1955, the council was given the opportunity to award the degrees of Doctor of Veterinary and Biological Sciences [1] .
In 1961, the Institute received the Kurilovsky vetchastok Podolsky rayon clinic, an experimental base was made of it [1] .
In 1971, a department for the study of plant nematodes was established [1] .
In 1971, the institute became the leading institute for the development and improvement of the fundamentals of prevention and elimination of helminth infections in farm animals [1] .
In 1991 he moved to the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences [1] .
In 2014, he received the status of FSBI [1] .
It is now referred to as the All-Russian Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Animal and Plant Parasitology - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Research Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine named after KI Skryabin and Ya. R. Kovalenko of the Russian Academy of Sciences" [2] .
Awards
In 1967, "for the success achieved in the development and introduction into production of measures for the control and prevention of animal helminth infections" he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner [1] .
Work
The institute carried out many works. Studied the composition, morphology of some groups of helminths [1] .
200 types of pathogenic helminths were decoded [1] .
Created measures to combat parasitism of farm animals [1] .
Created and applied technology for the examination of meat and fish products for parasitic diseases [1] .
The Institute annually hosts the conference “Theory and Practice of Combating Parasitic Diseases” [1] .
