Botanical description

Ground cover shrub up to 5-15 cm high [5] , Hamefit according to Raunkiru [4] .

The leaves are broadly ovate, 0.8-1.2 cm long; the base is heart-shaped or truncated [5] .

Inflorescence spiciform, pinkish-purple flowers [5] .

It blooms in summer. Propagation by seeds (spring sowing, surface) or by dividing or grafting after flowering [5] .

Security Status

In the Red List of Plants of the International Union for Conservation of Nature 1997 was included in the status of disappeared [6] According to North Macedonian researchers, this information is erroneous, since the thyme population continues to exist in the Uterus Canyon [7] [8] .
