Axait

Aksayit (Aksayit) (from the name of the locality) is a rare mineral from the borate class, hydrous magnesium borate [1] . Chemical formula: MgB 6 O 10 · 5H 2 O. Discovered in 1902. It crystallizes in rhombic syngony . Large crystals (up to a maximum of 1.5 cm) have a pale gray color, small crystals are colorless. Mohs hardness 2.5; density 2.01 g / cm 3 . It is found in halogen sedimentary rocks. Opened in Kazakhstan , one of the first among the less common minerals.
