“The Girl Who Stuck on the Web” ( Swede. Det som inte dödar oss ) is a detective novel by Swedish journalist and writer David Lagerkranets , which is a continuation of the Millennium trilogy by Stig Larsson about the life of hacker girl Lisbeth Salander and her friend journalist Mikael Blomkviste . The book was released on August 27 in the world and was appointed to the United States on September 1, 2015. [1] The novel will be translated into 38 languages. At the end of July 2015, some details of the plot became known. Creation History
In December 2013, the Swedish publisher Norstedts Forlag announced the upcoming continuation of the Millennium trilogy by Stig Larsson , who died in 2004. Work on the new novel was entrusted to David Lagerkranets , best known for working with football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his autobiography [6] . It was also reported that the book should be published in August-September 2015 and it will not include drafts of the unfinished draft version of Larsson [7] .
In January 2015, Lagercrantz completed work on a draft version of the novel. The original name is "Det som inte dödar oss" [8] , which literally translates as "Everything that does not kill." In March 2015, New York-based publisher Alfred A. Knopf presented the title cover of an American edition of the novel, dubbed the English title The Girl In The Spider's Web. In the United States, a circulation of 500 thousand copies was announced. In total, the publication of the novel is expected in 25 countries [9] .
Story
Michael Blomqvist is approached by the famous Swedish scientist Professor Boulder with a request to publish his work. The SEPO, the Swedish National Security Service, has already offered her protection to the professor, but he wants to protect his life’s work about the world's leading achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and publish it.
Boulder also resorted to Lisbeth Salander in emergency situations. The hacker girl again uses her old nickname Wasp in an attempt to hack the US National Security Agency.

Opinions
The widow of the late writer Eva Gabrielsson , who had previously lost the rights to Larsson’s creative heritage in court, criticized the idea of creating a continuation of the Millennium trilogy, and called Lagercrantz the author “full idiocy” [11] .
Lagercrantz himself, in an interview on the Entertainment Weekly website, described the new book as an opportunity to penetrate the characteristics of the psyche of Lisbeth Salander:
“She is still a mystery,” he says, “and for me, as a writer, it is a challenge to understand her ... I'm just crazy about her.”

Uppsala daily Upsala Nya Tidning described the sequel as “a standard crime portraying the protagonists more self-absorbed,” while “there is no trace left of the old atmosphere of Millennium.” [12]
