Content
History
It was founded in the XVII century as a Cossack town Filonovsky . The town is mentioned in the list of Cossack towns located along Buzuluk according to information for 1698 [2] .
After the transition to stanitsa division, the village was part of the Khopersky District of the Land of the Don Army (since 1870 - the Region of the Don Army). In 1859, 1764 men and 1608 women lived in the Filonovskaya village [3] . In 1870, at a distance of 6 miles from the village, the Filonovo Gryaze-Tsaritsyno railway station (now within the city of Novoanninsky ) was opened [4] .
According to the 1897 census , 1,545 men and 1,608 women lived in the village. Most of the population was illiterate: of these, literate men - 691 (44.7%), literate women - 261 (16.2%). According to the census, the Filonovsky yurt included 22 farms ( Alsyapinsky , Galushkin , Korotkov, Kosov, Kalachevsky , Marchukov , Rozhnovsky , Salomatin , Strakhov , etc.). In total, 8378 men and 8730 women lived in the yurt [5] .
According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Donskoy Voivodeship Region of 1915, the land allotment of the village was 12307 dessiatins , 2344 men and 2290 women lived here, there were a village and farm board, a church, an assessor, 5 schools, a post and telegraph office, a higher primary school, two two-year schools , a parish school , two water mills, 1 steam mill, an oil factory, 7 forges, three sheepskin factories, 8 brick factories, a credit partnership [6] .
In 1928, the Filonovskaya village was included in the Novoanninsky district of the Khopersky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (from 1934 - the Stalingrad region , from 1936 - the Stalingrad region, from 1961 - the Volgograd region) [7] [8 ] ] .
Geography
The village is located within the Khopersko-Buzuluk plain , which is the southern end of the Oka-Don lowland , on the Buzuluk river (most of the village is located on the left bank). The center of the village is located at an altitude of about 83 meters above sea level. From the west, north and east, the village is surrounded by floodplain forests and forest stands. In the vicinity there are areas of fixed sand [9] . Soils are floodplain neutral and slightly acidic [10] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of Volgograd is 270 km, to the regional center of Novoanninsky - 14 km [11] .

The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen climate classification - Dfb ). The long-term rainfall is 456 mm. During the city, the amount of precipitation is distributed relatively evenly: the largest amount of precipitation falls in June - 52 mm, the smallest in February - 25 mm. The average annual temperature is + 6.9 ° С, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is −9.1 ° С, the hottest month of July +21.8 ° С [12] .
