Geography
It is located in the west of the central part of the district, 2 kilometers from the border with the Moscow region . The village is located near the railway line Rybnoe - Uzunovo . There are 3 ponds in the village formed by the Kolnoy River (a tributary of the Vozha River ): Monastyrsky, Barsky and Fligersky.
History
It is known as a village with the Dimitrev Church from the 17th century . The name is given by the name of the landowner Kozlov. According to statistics of 1859, it is listed as the owner's village of Kozlovo, Zaraisk district of the Ryazan province , at the wells. In 1866 - a village of temporarily liable peasants at a pond and wells. In 1881, a school was established in the village. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was part of the Bulygin volost of the Zaraysk district (the volost center is the village of Bulygin). In 1905, Bulygin volost government was located in Kozlovo. There were 2 forges, a windmill. In Soviet times, it was renamed Kozlovka. From 2004 to 2015, it was part of the Kozlovsky rural settlement of the Rybnovsky district of the Ryazan region (the administrative center is the village of Zhitovo).

Infrastructure
In the village there is a courtyard of the Nikolo-Ugreshsky monastery . The main courtyard building is an old school building, renovated in the early 2000s.
