The Alexandria Protocol ( Arabic: بروتوكول الإسكندرية ) is a document adopted on October 7, 1944 in Alexandria following a meeting of representatives of five Arab states ( Egypt , Jordan , Iraq , Lebanon , Syria ), which they decided to create an inter-Arab organization. On the basis of this Agreement , the League of Arab States was formed in 1945 .

The agreement proclaimed the equality of all member states of the future organization.
Its main goals were to strengthen relations between the Arab countries, coordinate their political steps in the international arena, as well as joint defensive actions in the event of aggression against any of the participating countries.
