History
In 1997, when the Aktobe district was abolished, the rural districts of Blagodarny, Kargalinsky, Kuraylinsky and Novy, which were part of the district, and the Sazdinsky district of the Alga district were transferred to the subordination of the city akimat of Aktobe and formally abolished (however, for the convenience of management as part of the city akimat Akims of rural districts with staff and powers to manage them were retained). At that time, 25,715 people lived in five former rural districts in 22 settlements. In connection with the development of the city and its suburban area, the actual number of settlements on the territory of the former rural districts reached 50, the number of residents increased to 50 thousand people [3] .
In the spring of 2013, at the extraordinary 11th session of the regional maslikhat, in connection with administrative reform, it was decided to create 5 rural districts within the former borders: a grateful rural district with an area of 104,895 ha with a center in the village of Kenesa Nokina; Kargalinsky rural district with an area of 6 671 ha with a center in the village of Kargalinskoye; Kurailinsky rural district with an area of 44 499 ha with a center in the village of Kuraily; A new rural district with an area of 26,994 hectares with a center in the village of Zhanakonys; Sazdinsky rural district with an area of 39,894 hectares with a center in the village of Sazda [4] .
