Title
The name of the village most likely comes from the nearby Krutobor tract , where in the 30-40s. XX century was a village of special settlers [2] .
Geography
The village was located in the south of the republic, on the left bank of the Prupt River , 270 km from the capital - Syktyvkar and 74 km from the district center - the village of Ust-Kulom [3] .
History
The village appeared in the 1960s, when a railway was laid in these places. In the village was placed a maximum security colony No. 43.
Since 1971, the village was part of the Nyumyd village council of the Koygorodsky region of the Komi ASSR . In February 1976, the Nyumydsky Village Council was transferred to the Ust-Kulomsky District. In the 1990s, the center of the village council was moved to Krutoborka.
By the beginning of the XXI century, the village is declining. As of 2013, the village is completely destroyed. The place where he was is gradually overgrown with forest. [one]

Economics and Social Affairs
The village has several forced labor colonies, as well as a military unit. The main economic sector is logging and lumber production. Due to the fact that Krutoborka is the terminal railway station , a railway depot worked here [6] .
The village has a developed social infrastructure - there are shops, a kindergarten, a school, a post office, a club, a bakery, a canteen, a bathhouse, a hotel and a fire station [7] .
Transport
The most important role in transport communication with the village is played by the railway, which connects it with the Kirov region and Udmurtia . Despite the departmental nature of the SCR, in addition to freight, there is passenger traffic on it. There is a passenger train Lesnaya - Krutoborka. Official train schedule:

In early 2007, passenger traffic was discontinued. In 2008, the railway to Krutoborka was demolished.
