Club career
Diaz is a graduate of Godoy Cruz from his hometown. On March 15, 2009, in a match against Racing from Avellaneda, he made his debut in Argentine Primera [2] . To get a gaming practice, Gonzalo went on loan to Lanus , but in six months he never entered the field.
After an unsuccessful lease at Lanus, Diaz joined the club of the second division, Instituto , also on loan. February 13, 2010 in a duel against KAI, he debuted in Example B [3] . On April 24, in a duel against Sportivo Italiano , Gonzalo scored his first goal in his career [4] . After returning to Godoy Cruz, Diaz did not get a chance and was again loaned, first to Racing from the Korodova , and then to Union Sunchales .
In the summer of 2012, Gonzalo ended the contract and he, as a free agent, became a football player of the Defensa Hustisia club. On September 8, in the match against Independiente Rivadavia , he made his debut for the team [5] . On May 28, 2013, in a duel against Sarmiento , Diaz scored his first goal for Hustisia [6] . In early 2014, he returned to his native Godoy Cruz club on loan.
In the summer of the same year, Gonzalo signed a contract with the Mexican club " America ". On August 3, in the match against Puebla , he made his debut in Mexican Example , replacing Michael Arroyo in the second half [7] . On September 18, in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Bayonet's Puerto Rican , Diaz scored his first goal for a team from Mexico City [8] . In early December, Gonzalo was seriously injured, but despite this he became the champion of Mexico. In 2015, he returned to Godoy Cruz to get practice practice, and in early 2016 he also joined Tijuana on loan. On January 17, in the match against Dorados de Sinaloa , Diaz made his debut for the new team, replacing Dairo Moreno in the second half [9] .
