In 1447 he traveled to Novgorod to make peace, in 1456 , together with the Novgorod ruler Euthymius - to Yazhelbitsy , to beat Vasily Dark with his forehead for Novgorod , which the Grand Duke went to war (see. Yazhelbitsky peace ).
In 1461, Zinovy entered into a truce with the Livonian Germans. In 1463, the Germans again attacked Pskov land, and Zinovy Mikhailovich, together with the Pskovs, chose three governor, who, with the help of Moscow troops, forced the Germans to enter into peace negotiations.
