Description
The length of the workers is 2.21-2.60 mm. It differs from related species in the following features: methanotic groove developed, but weak; propodeum angular with weak denticles; the subpetiolar protrusion is relatively elongated, subrectangular and protruding anteroventrally. The head, mesosome and abdomen are reddish brown, always distinctly darker than the lighter tawny mandibles, antennae, petiol, postpetiol and legs. The stalk between the breast and the abdomen in workers consists of two segments, and in females and males - of one ( petiol ). The main measurements of working ants: head length (HL) 0.51–0.57 mm; head width (HW) 0.43–0.50; antennae scapus length (SL) 0.33–0.42; ML 0.69–0.87; PL 0.17–0.20; CI 82–90; SI 76–86. The species name is given in honor of D.-R. Yang ( Da-Rong Yang , Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences , China) for their help in [1] .
