Biography
Member of the Great Patriotic War - in 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army , fought as part of the Baltic Fleet in the Ural mine layer .
In 1955 he graduated from the State Institute of Theater Arts. A. V. Lunacharsky (course B. A. Pokrovsky at the Department of Musical Theater).
In 1955-1962 he was a soloist in the Music and Drama Theater of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in Petrozavodsk .
In 1962-1977, after completing the directorial courses of GITIS, he worked as the main director of the Music and Drama Theater of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1973-1984 he was a teacher at the Petrozavodsk State Conservatory in the opera class.
In 1977-1979 - Director of the State National Ensemble "Kantele" .
In 1979-1985 - Director of the Karelian State Philharmonic .
In 1985-2003 - Director, Chief Director (since 1997) of the Musical Theater of the Republic of Karelia .
Laureate of the State Prize of the GDR named after Fritz Reiter (1985).
