History

Information about who was the first owner of the building was not preserved. In the XVII century , stone chambers were erected with carved platbands and brick vaults . Presumably, their first owner was Patriarch Adrian , but it cannot be ruled out that the estate belonged to the Naryshkins [1] .

At the beginning of the XVIII century, the owner of the building was the stolnik Dmitry Protasiev. In 1731, ownership passed to Prince Alexei Yuryevich Trubetskoy . His descendants have been the owners of the estate for a century. When they underwent the first reconstruction of the building: it was turned to the then Trubetskoy Lane [1] .

5 years after the death of A.I. Trubetskoy in 1813, his widow married the famous Moscow architect O. I. Bove . On the next site, the construction of a two-story house begins, and the old estate passes into the possession of captain L.K. Cherepov. He rented the premises to General M. A. Dmitriev-Mamonov [1] .

In the 1840s, the mansion was sold to the merchant P.V. Golubkov [1] .

In 1855, the famous benefactors , the Spiridonovs, became the owners of the estate. With them, the mansion is being reconstructed again. In this form, the estate has survived to the present day [1] .

After the October Revolution , the building housed the All-Russian Committee for Assisting the Sick and Wounded Red Army Soldiers (the All-Compom). In the estate there were apartments [1] . In one of them lived opera singer Vera Davydova [2] , microbiologist G. F. Gauze [3]

At the end of the XX century, the architectural building was restored , restored architectural decor in the style of Moscow Baroque [1] .

Currently, the estate houses the services of the Bolshoi Theater . It is planned to open a theater museum [1] .

The estate is an object of cultural heritage [4] .
