Content
History
The canton was formed as a result of the reform of 2015 [1] by the merger of the abolished cantons of Bave and Burlemont , as well as individual communes of the cantons of Kenua West and Otmon .

Policy
In the 2017 presidential election, the canton residents cast in the 1st round of Marine Le Pen 35.4% of the vote against 20.5% of Jean-Luc Melanson , 16.6% of Emmanuel Macron and 14.3% of Francois Fillon ; in the 2nd round, Le Pen won the canton, receiving 53.7% of the vote. (2012 1st round: Marine Le Pen - 26.4%, Francois Hollande - 24.2%, Nicolas Sarkozy - 22.2%; 2nd round: Hollande - 52.9%).
Since 2015, the canton in the Council of the Department of Nor has been represented by communists - the mayor of Olnua-Emery, Bernard Baudoux and member of the council of the city of Bavis, Marie-Aline Bréda.
