Carebara bengalensis (lat.) Is a species of very small ants of the genus Carebara from the subfamily Myrmicinae ( Formicidae ). Bangladesh , India , China [1] .

Description
Small ants are brown. The body length of females is more than 5 mm. clypeus biciliform. Antennae 9-segmented. Workers and males are not described [1] .
Systematics
The species was described in 1902 by the Swiss worldmecologist Auguste Trout based on materials from India under the original name Oligomyrmex bengalensis Forel, 1902 [2] . In 2004, it was included in the genus Carebara (Fernández, 2004). Valid status was confirmed in 2013 during an audit of the local fauna by Indian entomologists Himender Bharti (Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences, Punjabi University , Patiala , Punjab , India ) and Rakesh Kumar (2013). Relate to the tribe Solenopsidini [1] .
