Carebara dentata (lat.) Is a species of very small ants of the genus Carebara from the subfamily Myrmicinae ( Formicidae ). Endemic to India [1] .

Description
Small ants are tan. The head of large workers (soldiers) is very large, about 2 times longer than its width, parallel-sided; the nape is concave. The length of the workers' body is about 2 mm, the length of the head is 0.31-0.75 mm (head width 0.27-0.57 mm). The antennae of the workers consist of 9 segments and have a mace of two apical segments. The propodeum is round, without teeth. The scape is short, its length among workers is 0.21-0.32 mm. Mandibles with 5 teeth. The eyes are very small (composed of 1 ommatidium ) [1] .
Systematics
The species was described in 2013 based on materials from India by Indian worldmecologists Himender Bharti (Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences, Punjabi University , Patiala , Punjab , India ) and Rakesh Kumar (2013). Relate to the tribe Solenopsidini [1] .
