Biography
Friedrich Silher was born in the city of Weinstadt .
He studied under Konradin Kreutzer and Johann Nepomuk Hummel . In 1817, he was appointed music director at the University of Tübingen .
His wife was Louise Rosin Ansslin, the couple had two daughters and one son.
Varietal wine and an asteroid are named in his honor.
