Hamlin, Harry

Harry Robinson Hamlin ( born Harry Robinson Hamlin , born October 30, 1951) is an American actor best known for his role on the NBC series Los Angeles Law , where he starred from 1986 to 1991. In 1987, People magazine was named Hamlin's “Sexiest Man of the Year” [1] .

Career

Hamlin made his debut on the big screen in the 1978 film "Cinema, Cinema", for the role in which he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in the category for "Best Film Debut" [2] . In 1981, he played a leading role in the commercially successful film, Clash of the Titans . In 1982, Hamlin starred in Making Love with Kate Jackson and Michael Ontkin , the groundbreaking drama about 20th Century Fox's gay woman gay production [1] . The film was not a commercial success and Hamlin never again received roles in Hollywood films [1] .

After a short career in cinema, in 1984 Hamlin moved to television. He starred in the mini-series Intrigue and Cosmos, and then in two dozen soap films made for television. In 1986, he took on the role of attorney Michael Kozak in the NBC series Los Angeles Law . The role brought him three nominations for the Golden Globe for best actor in a television series - drama [2] . In the wake of the success of the series, he was named "The Sexiest Man" according to People magazine [1] . Hamlin left the series after five seasons in 1991. In 1999, he tried to return to television with the lead role in the WB movie stars sitcom Jennifer Grant , but the show was closed after two short seasons.

During the 2000s and 2010s, Hamlin took on minor roles in the TV series Veronica Mars ( UPN , 2004-2006), Army Wives ( Lifetime , 2010-2011), and Shameless ( Showtime , 2012— 2014) and Mad Men ( AMC , 2013-2014). For his role in the latter, he was nominated for an Emmy in the category "Best Guest Actor in a Drama TV Series" in 2013 [2] . Hamlin also appeared in Touch of an Angel , Law and Order , Law and Order: Special Corps , Harper Island , and Chorus . In addition to this, he performed in the third season of the reality show “Dancing with the Stars”, and in 2012 he reached the bottom of his career, becoming the face of an adult diaper advertisement along with Lisa Rinnoy [3] .

Personal life

From 1979 to 1983, Hamlin had a relationship with actress Ursula Andress , a partner in the movie “Clash of the Titans”, they have a common son [4] . From 1985 to 1989, he was married to actress Falcon Cross Laura Johnson . Their divorce was very actively discussed in the yellow press against the background of the fact that Hamlin immediately began dating the actress from Quiet Pier , Nicolette Sheridan [5] . He was married to Sheridan from 1991 to 1993.

In 1997, Hamlin married actress Lisa Rinne from Melrose Place . They have two daughters [1] . Together they starred in the TV Land reality show “Harry Loves Lisa” in 2010. In 2014, when Wrynn and Hamlin began acting in the reality show Real Beverly Hills Housewives .
