Content
Career
Graduated from Riga Technical University . Three-time champion of Latvia in the triple jump. The first at the championship of Latvia in 2015. In 2009, at the European Junior Championships he won bronze with a personal record. The best result of an athlete in a triple jump is 16.03 meters. Pavel Kovalev was one of 16 Latvian jumpers, the result of which exceeded 16 meters.
Death
On April 5, 2015, he died in a car accident on a 30 km P80 Tinuji - Koknese highway. Together with him, his wife, born in 1991, and daughter, aged 2.5 months, died [1] .
A DAF truck with a trailer and a car were involved in the accident [2] .
He was buried in the Ulbrok cemetery near Riga.
