Biography
In 1917 she graduated from a female gymnasium. In 1917-1918 she studied at the Voronezh Agricultural Institute , in 1921-1925 she worked at the biological department of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Central Asian University, in 1925-1928 - at the graduate school at the Department of Plant Physiology and Microbiology.
From 1926 to 1932, a microbiologist at the Ak-Kavak experimental station.
Since 1932, she worked at the Soil Institute. V.V. Dokuchaev. In 1945-1976, the head of the laboratory of soil biochemistry.
In 1935, the scientific degree of a candidate of agricultural sciences was awarded without defending a dissertation. In 1943 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic "Organic matter in the soils of the dry steppes of the Volga region and its transformation processes under conditions of irrigated agriculture . " Since 1946 - professor of biochemistry.

- "The problem of soil humus and the modern tasks of its study" (1951), for it in 1952 was awarded the prize to them. V.V. Dokuchaev.

For these books in 1968 the USSR State Prize was awarded. Monographs were published in England (1961, 1966), East Germany (1958), Poland (1955, 1968), Japan (1963, 1976), and China (1956). In 1975 she published the book "Humus of natural and developed soils."
