Commemorative and jubilee coins are issued by the National Bank of Georgia from precious ( gold - in denominations of 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500 and 1000 lari , and silver - in denominations of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 lari) and non-precious metals ( nickel silver - denominations of 2 and 3 lari, cupronickel - denomination of 10 lari and bimetallic denomination of 10 lari). The first coin dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the victory in World War II was issued in 1995.
Due to the lack of a mint in the country, all coins are minted abroad: in mints in Austria , Great Britain , Spain , Lithuania , the Netherlands , Poland , Finland , France and Japan .
