Fedor Mikhailovich Mühlbach ( German F. Mühlbach ) - (according to other sources, Friedrich German Ernst Mühlbach ) a descendant of immigrants from German Saxony, the founder of the famous piano factory in St. Petersburg .

The factory lasted from 1856 to 1914 and produced up to 500 instruments a year [1] . Known for its Mignon pianos.
During the 1st World War in 1914, the factory owner, a German by birth, was forced to close production and leave Russia .
The company had the highest quality mark of production of that time - the right to depict the coat of arms of the Russian Empire on its instruments. Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty , a member of the Guild of Suppliers of the Court.
