Biography and Creativity
In 2002 , she released her debut album “ Come Away With Me ”, which was sold in excess of 20 million copies and broke all records by receiving five Grammy awards, including in such prestigious nominations as “Album of the Year”, “Record of the year ”and“ opening of the year ”. The next album, Feels Like Home ( 2004 ), was almost equally successful and brought Grammy to her piggy bank for “Best Female Performance of Popular Music”, “Best Performance of Popular Music in a Duet” and “Record of the Year” (for “ Here We Go Again , a duet with Ray Charles ).
In 2007 she released her third album “ Not Too Late ” and became one of the most successful musicians of the decade, selling over 16 million records in the US and 39 million worldwide. Jones' voice timbre and her emotional range are often compared to Billy Holiday .
In 2007, Norah Jones performed (paired with Jude Law ) the main role in the film " My Blueberry Nights " - the first English-language work of Hong Kong director Wong Karvai . Reviews for the film and acting Jones were different. So, the New York Post newspaper bluntly stated: “ Let's be straightforward - Mrs. Jones cannot play ” [2] . Along with this, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein said that he was impressed with Nora's debut and was looking for a musical for her [3] .
In February 2014, Nora gave birth to her firstborn son, and in July 2016, her second child [4] .
