The music of Gibraltar is influenced by many musical movements. Of primary influence is the Spanish musical culture , the next most influential is English music [1] .
Famous Gibraltar musicians include Charles Ramirez, the first guitarist invited to perform with the Royal College of Music orchestra [2] , and popular rock bands Breed 77 , Melon Diesel and Taxi .
Albert Hammond [3] , who owns several of the top ten hits of Great Britain and the USA, is considered to be the most famous giblar musician. He is also known as a songwriter for many artists, including Whitney Houston and Julio Iglesias .
The concerts of world music stars in Gibraltar are accompanied by performances of the opening act of local artists. For example, Surianna took part in the concert of Sisanne Vega , Sarah Howard in the concert of Steve Hogarth , the Jetstream group in the concerts of Ali Campbell and Jesse Jay , the SuperWookie group in the Marillion concert [4] .

- Adrian Pisarello & the EC band - a group playing acoustic rumba - rock with elements of flamenco and jazz ;
- Jetstream is a rock / pop group that became famous after performing on the opening act of Ali Campbell.

- in the song Love is Here to Stay from the 1951 musical film American in Paris ;
- in the 1952 song “The Rock of Gibraltar”, written by Frankie Lane ;
- in the composition of The Beatles of 1969, The Ballad of John and Yoko ;
- in the composition “Gibraltar (Copy Thy Neighbor)” from the 1986 album Holidays in Europe (The Naughty Nought) of the Icelandic post-punk band Kukl ;
- in the song “Rock Of Gibraltar” from the 2003 album Nocturama by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds ;
- in the songs of the French- Spanish singer Manu Chao in the albums of Clandestino (1998) and Próxima Estación: Esperanza (2000);
- in the title track of the 2006 album "Gibraltar" by Franco-Congolese rapper Abd al-Malik.
