“Footloose” is a song by American singer Kenny Loggins , which became one of the main musical themes of the popular film The Footloose and was included in its soundtrack Footloose (1984). The single became No. 1 in the USA, Canada and Australia [1] .

The authors were Kenny Loggins and Dean Pitchford , and the producer was Kenny Loggins and Lee DeCarlo. The single was released on the EMI and Casablanca labels and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 American charts (three weeks for No. 1). At the end of the year, the song became No. 4 in 1984. The song received two prestigious nominations in 1984: the Academy Award for the best song for the film and the Golden Globe for the best song . There was also a nomination for the Grammy Award in the category of the best male vocal pop performance [1] [2] .
