Anvar Burkhanovich Turaev ( Tajik. Anvar Turaev , born June 21, 1934 , Samarkand ) is a Tajik and Soviet actor and film director for feature films, popular science and documentaries. Honored Worker of Culture of Tajikistan.

Biography
In 1958 he graduated from the Higher Theater School named after M. S. Shchepkin in Moscow. In 1963-1970 - at the newsreel studio.
In 1964 - 1970 he studied at the directing department of VGIK (workshop of M. Romm ). After returning from Moscow, from 1958 to 1963 he worked as an actor of the Tajik Academic Drama Theater named after A. Lahuti in Dushanbe .
In 1970-1990 - Head of the newsreel studio Tajikfilm .
In 1981-1986 - Secretary, in 1991-1996 - Chairman of the Union of Filmmakers of Tajikistan.
Since 2014, lives in the city of Alma-Ata .
