History
Alekseevskaya pumping station was built near the village of Alekseevsky in 1830. The work of the station was provided by two steam pumps with a capacity of 25 liters. with. each, water was pumped into a container located on the Sukharev Tower . In 1892, when the construction of a receiving tank underground at the Mytishchi aqueduct and a new engine room was completed, water began to be pumped into the Krestovsky water towers (now the Krestovsky overpass is located there). Alekseevskaya pumping station functioned until 1940, after the start of the work of the Eastern water pump station, repair shops of the Moscow water supply were located in its building [1] .
Currently, the building of the Alekseevskaya water station is located in the area of Novoalekseevskaya street and the First Riga lane , it is part of the architectural and historical ensemble, which consists of the building of the water station (now the Vodopribor factory) and the buildings of the former shelter of the Bakhrushins brothers . Some of the historical buildings of the Alekseevskaya water-lifting station can be seen through a fence with cast-iron grates along Novoalekseevskaya street [2] .
By order of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow dated September 16, 2016 No. 707, the Alekseevskaya Pumping Station and several other buildings are included in the unified state register of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation as an object of cultural heritage of regional significance (ensemble) [3] .
