Biography
Representative of the Polish gentry clan of the Sobotsky coat of arms “ Topping ”. Studied at Wittenberg University.
At first, Tomasz Sobocki was a nobleman at the court of the Polish king Sigismund I the Old , and in 1532 he received the rank of army of Lenchitsky.
In 1535, he was sent at the head of the Polish delegation to Hungary. In 1537, Tomasz Sobocki, at the head of the Polish embassy, traveled to Prussia and the Vatican . He also traveled with the embassy to the Ottoman Sultan. In 1539, he was appointed the cup of the great crown.
In the years 1544 - 1547 he served as chancellor of the great crown.
