Rajabli, Ahmeddin Izzet oglu

Ahmeddin Izzet oglu Rajabli ( azerb. Əhməddin İzzət oğlu Rəcəbli ; 1945 , Ajahur , Kusar district ) - Azerbaijani and Soviet sambo wrestler and judo fighter , judo and sambo trainer, Honored Physical Culture Trainer of Azerbaijan (1981) and sports of Azerbaijan (1984). He was the head coach of the Azerbaijan Paralympic judo team . The father of judoka Zaur Rajabli and Elkhan Rajabli [2] .

Biography

Childhood and adolescence

Ahmeddin Rajabli was born in 1945 in the village of Ajahur Kusar district of Azerbaijan SSR . By nationality, Lezgin [3] . In the 1st grade I went to the village of Girik , his mother’s native village. It so happened that the Rajabli family moved to Nabran , where Akhmeddin's father worked in fishing. But there was no school and the work was seasonal. Therefore, Akhmeddin was sent to school by his mother’s village. Soon, my father got a job in the village of Balakhany and the family moved here. Ahmeddin graduated from 2nd and 3rd grades in Balakhani. Soon, Rajabli's father moved to his native village due to his health, where Ahmeddi graduated from grades 4-6. In 1959, Ahmeddin Rajabli entered the Sumgayit College of Chemical Technology. Since then, Ahmeddin has been living in Sumgayit [2] .

The teacher of physical training of Rajabli at the technical school was the honored trainer of Azerbaijan in sambo Ismail Akhmedov , who created a sambo club, where Ahmeddin signed up. After a year and a half, in 1961, Rajabli became the champion of Azerbaijan in sambo among juniors. Rajabli repeated this achievement in 1962. The following year, Rajabli wins the USSR Sambo Championship among the Spartak society in the city of Gorky. In the same year he takes the bronze medal of the USSR Championship among sports societies [2] .

Military Service

Since 1964, Rajabli served in the ranks of the Soviet army in the city of Shevchenko of the Kazakh SSR in one of the construction battalions. While in the army, Rajabli opened a sambo club there, which he directed. From the mattresses, Rajabli made tatami. Under the leadership of Rajabli, soldiers fought in the championships of the region. Ahmeddin created interest not only in sambo, but also in free and Greco-Roman wrestling. At the competition, both Ahmeddin himself and his wards fought. Some success was achieved by the Azerbaijanis Rafig Mirzoyev from the village of Digyakh of the Kubinsky district, Yusif Yusifli from Samukh, Saleh Aliyev from Barda, Arif Aliyev from Agdzhebedi, as well as Russians, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Georgians. The unit commander awarded Rajabli with honorary diplomas [2] .

In 1981, Ahmeddin Rajabli was the first of the country's judo trainers to be awarded the title of Honored Trainer of Azerbaijan. In 1984, Rajabli was the first judo coach to be awarded the title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports by decree of the Supreme Council [2] .

Since 2001, Ahmeddin Rajabli has been training his ward, Ilham Zakiev , who returned from the army completely blind after falling under the bullet of an Armenian sniper, to the competitions in Paralympic judo, which are held among blind and visually impaired judokas. Mechanically, other disabled judokas also began to train under the supervision of Rajabli. At the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games, ward Rajabli Ilham Zakiev won gold medals. At the Beijing Paralympics, three more Rajabli wards ( Kerim Sardarov , Tofig Mammadov and Ramin Ibragimov ) were awarded medals [2] .

Later, the Azerbaijani team under the leadership of Rajabli became the champion of Europe [2] .

In 2007, Rajabli was awarded the Progress medal [2] .

On September 14, 2012, Ahmeddin Rajabli, the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was awarded the “Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan” [4] .

By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated November 5, 2012, Ahmeddin Izzet oglu Rajabli was awarded a personal pension for services to the development of sports and physical education of the Republic of Azerbaijan [5] .
