Biography
Since 1978, he studied sequentially at the Tbilisi Folk Art School named after Nikoladze.
In 1978-1979, he worked as a drawing teacher in the secondary school of Chokhatauri and Chaisubani .
In 1979-1981 he was in military service. After the demobilization of 1981-1985, he taught sculpture, drawing and painting at the Chokhatauri art school.
In 1985-1990 he studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts .
On May 16, 1991, he became a monk, on May 23, he was ordained a hierodeacon, and on November 3 of the same year, at a hieromonk. In 1993 he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite.
In 1992-1995 - rector of the Mtskheta Patriarchal Cathedral Svetitskhoveli in the dignity of archimandrite .
April 7, 1995 was ordained bishop of Shemokmed.
November 28, 2000 was elevated to the dignity of the archbishop .
June 3, 2007 was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan .
December 25, 2007 awarded the Order of St. George I degree.
