The pinkprint tour

The Pinkprint Tour is the third concert tour of the American rap singer Nicky Minaj in support of her third studio album, The Pinkprint . The tour was officially announced a week before the album, December 8, 2014. The tour began on March 16, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden and will run until August 19, 2015 in Edmonton, Canada. Minaj also gave additional concerts in Africa and Asia in early 2016. The first European stage of the tour was supported by colleagues Minaj - Trey Songs and Esther Dean , while the second North American stage will be supported by Mick Mill, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashi and Dej Loaf. It was confirmed that the tour will expand to other continents, such as South America and Oceania, also in Europe and North America.

Prerequisites

In August 2014, promoting the song Anaconda , Minaj confirmed plans for a Pinkprint support tour in an interview with Carson Daly on AMP Radio.

Speaking of the tour, Minaj said: "We are going to start the tour in early 2015." Also in the interview, Minaj hinted at a special guest joining her on tour, saying: “I cannot say [who it is], but I know that my fans love this person. I think our fanbase is very similar, so I think it will work really well. ”

In September 2014, it was announced that Minaj would lead and speak at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2014. The ceremony took place in Glasgow, Scotland, November 9, 2014. During the show, Minaj confirmed the tour plans, after her performance of potpourri from Super Bass, " Bed of Lies ”and“ Anaconda ”, and received the award“ Best Hip-Hop ”.

December 8, 2014, three days after Minaj received two nominations for the 57th annual Grammy Awards ceremony and a week before the release of The Pinkprint album, the tour was officially announced. Development

Ticket sales were available to the Minaj fan club starting December 10, 2014. Ticket sales to the general public began on December 12, 2014. During the question and answer session with their fans on Twitter, Minaj began to disclose more detailed information about the tour, which includes that the European part of the tour will be extended, and the North American part will be announced in March / April, and there will also be performances in Australia and Brazil.
About a month before the start of the tour, there was a fight between the Minaj tour manager, De'Von Pickett, and a local resident, Pierce Boykin. The brawl led to stabbing, eventually killed by De'Von Pickett and injured by another team member. Minaj expressed her grief mainly through social media such as Twitter and Instagram , but later it turned out that Minaj wanted to cancel her tour after the incident occurred. However, Minaj said that canceling the tour would not be the right thing to do. She said: "We are going to continue the tour in his memory."
On March 16, 2015, on the opening day of the tour, Minaj finally announced North American dates. The North American part initially consisted of nineteen dates, between July and August 2015, but Minaj said that additional dates would be added as the tour progressed. Tickets became available from March 18, 2015 with exclusive pre-sale for members of the Minaj fan club. Warm-up performances in the North American part include: Mick Milla , Rae Sremmurd , Tinashi and Dej Loaf .
