Lingbao ( Chinese ex. 灵宝 , pinyin : Língbǎo ) is the city county of the city district of Sanmenxia , Henan Province ( PRC ).

History
Under the Qin Empire, Taolin County (桃林 县) was formed. When the empire of Western Han in 114 BC. er The Hunnun County (弘农) was created, named after the Hunnongjian mountain stream. The following year, the Hunnun district (弘农 郡) was formed, consisting of 11 counties. Under the Eastern Han Empire, the county and county were renamed Hennun (恒 农 县, 恒 农 郡). During the Western Jin Empire, they returned the name Hunnun.
Under the Sui empire, the Hunnun district was disbanded in 583 and the Wenxiang county (阌 乡 县) was created, and in 596 the Taolin county was re-established. In 617, Hucheng County (湖 城县) was reconstructed, and Hunnong County was renamed Fenglin (凤林 郡), and Hunnong, Wenxiang and Hucheng counties became part of Fenglin County.
Under the Tang Empire, in 618, Fenglin District was renamed Dingzhou Province (鼎 州). In 634, the Dingzhou region was disbanded, and Guojun district (虢 郡) was formed instead. In 742, the Guojun district was transformed into the Gozhou region (), which included 6 counties, while the Hunnun county was renamed the Linbao county (灵宝).
After the Mongol conquest in 1265, Hucheng County was annexed to Wenxiang County, and in 1266, Linbao County was annexed to Shanxi County (陕县). In 1271, the county of Lingbao was recreated, and was subordinated to the Shanzhou area (陕州).
In 1949, the Shanzhou Special District (区 陕州 区) was formed, and the Wenxiang and Lingbao counties became part of it. In 1952, the Shanzhou Special District was annexed to the Luoyang Special District (区 专洛阳). In 1954, Wenxiang County was annexed to Lingbao County. In 1969, the Luoyang Special District was renamed the Luoyang District (洛阳).
In 1986, the Luoyang county was disbanded, and city districts Luoyang , Sanmenxia and Pingdingshan were formed instead the county of Lingbao became part of the city district of Sanmenxia. In 1993, Lingbao was transformed into a city county.

The city county is divided into 10 settlements and 5 volosts .
