Geography
Ramsau-by-Berchtesgaden is located in a geographically closed area. In the south it is bounded by the Wazmann and Hochkalter ( German Hochkalter ) mountains , in the east by the Reiteralpe massif ( German Reiteralpe ) from Austria. The north closes the Lattengebirge massif ( German: Lattengebirge ).
History
An important trade route to Pinzgau passed through Ramsau-by-Berchtesgaden .
