Biography
He studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts with Karl Salzmann and Waldemar Friedrich .
Since 1895 - a regular participant in the Berlin Great Art Exhibition , since 1898 four times participated in another major German art exhibition, which took place in the Munich Glass Palace .
He painted mainly ceremonial portraits of aristocrats, officers, and cultural figures; Among the most famous works are portraits of the Chairman of the Reichstag, Hans von Schwerin-Löwitz (for the Reichstag building) and Ferdinand von Richthofen .
With the outbreak of World War I, he went to the front as a reserve officer and soon died.
