Biography

Lezgin by nationality.

In 1972 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. E. Repin (workshop of A. A. Mylnikov ) [1] .

He teaches academic painting, academic drawing, composition, head of the department of arts of the Smolny Institute of the Russian Academy of Education.

Since 1975 he is a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR [1] ; member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists [2] .

Member of the Academic Council of the International Academy of Arts [3] .

creativity

The first works — painting in the interior of the assembly hall of Dagestan University “In the world of science” and a mosaic in the central square of the city of Derbent — brought N. Sh. Shakhmardanov the title of G. Tsadasa Prize Laureate. The sculptural composition in metal "Dagestan - BAM" is located on the facade of the station building of the Kunerm station of the Baikal-Amur Railway .

The author of more than 20 monumental works, including the equestrian monument “Defender of the Fatherland” (Makhachkala), symbolizing the image of heroes who have dedicated their lives to protecting the Fatherland. The monument was included in the "Golden Fund of the best works of Russia."

He is working on the creation of the equestrian monument “Peacemaker” in Derbent , as well as the monument to I. I. Betsky and the monument “St. Tatiana”.

Member of republican, Russian, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Works are in private galleries and collections in Russia, Europe and the USA.
