Biography
Stefan Putz was born on April 8, 1987 in Munich . As a child, he taught many sports, including hockey, handball, boxing, kickboxing, jujitsu, as instructed by his father.
At a professional level, in the mixed-rule battles, he made his debut in 2012, he defeated his first opponent ahead of schedule in the second round. Over the course of a year and a half, he spent nine fights in various German promotions, won champion titles in three different versions: Superior FC, Respect FC and Mix Fight Gala. In February 2014, he suffered the first loss in his career, in Denmark, by unanimous decision, he lost to the local fighter Joakim Christensen .
Later in 2014, he signed a contract with the Russian organization M-1 Global and began to take part in the M-1 Challenge fighting tournaments. In the debut match, he immediately won the right to challenge the light heavyweight championship, which became vacant after the end of the career of the current champion Sergei Kornev . Another candidate was the Russian Viktor Nemkov , their match lasted all five rounds, and as a result, the judges gave a separate decision to Pyutts victory, as a result of which he became the new champion of the organization.
A rematch was planned between Pyutts and Nemkov, however, shortly before the fight, the Russian was injured and replaced by Brazilian Luis Fernando Miranda. Putz successfully defended his championship belt, and at the end of the second round he held a strangulation at the back of Miranda. In December of that year he held a second defense, in the second round he got the better of the Russian avenue Valery Myasnikov, having achieved a technical knockout in the second round [1] [2] .
In May 2015, he met with Pole Marcin Tybura , the M-1 champion in the heavy weight category, while the champion belts did not stand at stake. The first two rounds went smoothly, but in the third Tybura he looked tired, began to skip blows in the clinch, and as a result, due to dissections on his face, the referee decided to stop the fight, taking into account the technical knockout [3] [4] . In December of the same year he held the third defense of the M-1 light heavyweight championship title, the rematch with Viktor Nemkov lasted all five rounds, as a result, most of the judges gave the victory to Nemkov.
After two victories at the M-1 Challenge in February 2017, he again won the challenge to light heavyweight title, which at that time belonged to Rashid Yusupov . The fight took place in the rack, in the first two rounds Yusupov inflicted serious damage on the opponent, Pyutts opened dangerous cuts on his face, as a result of which, in the third round after a medical examination, his seconds decided to throw out a towel [5] .
