The worldwide success of Hispanic artists such as Shakira and Enrique Iglesias inspired him to record his debut solo album, which in 2000 was awarded three Latin American Grammy Awards . Musical career
Juanes has been playing the guitar since childhood. At the age of fifteen, he began his musical career with the heavy metal band Ekhymosis , with which he released 5 albums, and with which he became popular after the release of the song “ La tierra ”. After the band disintegrated in 1998, Juanes decides to start a solo career and in 2000 made his debut with the release of the album Fijate bien , which was well received by critics, achieved some commercial success and won 3 Latin Grammy awards. In 2002, he improved the quality of his work in the album “ Un dia normal ”, which became platinum in most of the Spanish-speaking world and became one of the main preferences of Latin American listeners, and the main composition from this album “ A Dios le Pido ” took first place in the charts 12 countries. He was the first singer to perform in a room where the European Parliament holds plenary meetings.
