Sanischeyr (refugee camp)

Sanischeyr ( Nepalsk . शनिस्चरे शरणार्थी शिविर ) is a refugee camp located near the Sanchar Pass of Kosi District in Nepal. There are currently 13,323 refugees from Bhutan living there. The camp is located on the south side of the East-West highway [1] [2] .

In March 2011, a fire destroyed about 1,200 houses. On the same day, a fire also engulfed Goldhap , another refugee camp from Bhutan [3] [4] .
