- 1871 - Entered the service.
- 1873 - Graduated from the Naval Cadet Corps , midshipman .
- 1877 - Lieutenant .
- 1886 - Senior officer of the Rogue clipper.
- 1887 - Captain of the 2nd rank .
- 1890 - the commander of the ship " Strong ".
- 1891 - commander of the transport "Artel".
- 1892 - commander of the battleship battleship "Battleship".
- 1894 - Commander of the training ship " Seaman ".
- 1895 - commander of the seaworthy gunboat " Sivuch ".
- 1895 - The commander of the cruiser of the 2nd rank " Cruiser ".
- 1896 - Captain 1st rank .
- 1898 - Commander of the 1st rank cruiser " General-Admiral ".
- 1899 - commander of the squadron battleship Navarin .
- 1902 - Commander of the 19th Baltic Fleet Crew.
- 1903 - Rear Admiral . Junior flagship of the 2nd Navy Division.
- 1905 - Commander of the 2nd Separate detachment of ships of the Pacific Ocean, formed to purchase ships in Argentina and Chile to replace lost in the Russian-Japanese war.
- 1905 - Commander of the Baltic Sea Practical Force.
- July 20, 1906 - Seriously wounded in Kronstadt [1] , in the courtyard of the barracks of the 2nd naval division, by rebel sailors of a consolidated company of 11, 16 and 20 crews.
- February-November 1907 - Junior flagship of the Baltic Fleet.
- 1907 - I. d. Senior flagship of the Baltic Fleet.
- 1907 - Member of the Alexander Committee of the Wounded
- 1909 - Vice Admiral .
He was buried at the New Cemetery ( Gatchina ) [2] .

Wife - Maria Alexandrovna Hartulari (? - after 1917);
- daughter - Nina (1882-1942, Ufa); married to Gavriil Alekseevich Epanchin (11/22/1863 - 11/21/1933, Leningrad), Major General, son of Aleksey Pavlovich Yepanchin (1823-1913), admiral.
- grandson - Alexey Gavrilovich Epanchin (10.2.1903 - 1942), graduate of the Leningrad Technological Institute, engineer.
