The rpoB gene encodes the β subunits of bacterial RNA polymerase . This is a site of mutations that confer resistance to rifamycin antibacterial agents such as rifampicin [1] . Mutations in the rpoB gene that confer resistance to rifampicin. The essence of the mechanism of this mutation is that the amino acid residues of the rifamycin site are replaced in RNA polymerase, thereby reducing the efficiency of binding of rifamycins to this enzyme [2] [3] .
Nucleic acid probes can detect mutations in the rpoB gene , which confer resistance to rifampicin. For mycobacterium tuberculosis , rifamycin-resistant mutations are most common with codons 516, 526 and 531 [4] [5] . For Staphylococcus aureus , rifamycin-resistant mutations are most often found with the involvement of codon 526 [6] .
