It is located 17 km (in a straight line) northwest of the regional center of Selizharovo , 9 km (by road) from the village of Selishche . It is located on the southern shore of Lake Volgo , from which it received its name.
Typical "Seliger" country village, more than 50 houses, most of the householders are nonresident summer residents.

History
Until the middle of the 20th century, the village was simply called Bor, the Volgo additive indicates the lake and the Volgo graveyard , which was located on the lake north-west of the village. Now the place of the graveyard (cemetery) is located in the neighboring village of Zaruchevye .
In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the Volgo graveyard was the center of the Volgo volost, the extreme northwestern part of the Rzhev Principality .
In the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries, the village of Bor belonged to the Volgovsky parish of the Pashutinsky volost of the Ostashkovsky district . In 1889, there were 37 yards in the village, 215 inhabitants [2] .
In 1997, in the village of Bor Volgo, Shuvaevsky rural district, 12 households, 16 residents.
