Macedon was descended from the riders' estate. His birthplace was the city of Aquileia . The following facts are known about his career. Around 85–89, he served as procurator of Pannonia [1] and may have participated in the Dacian wars of the emperor Domitian . In 107, Macedon was on the post of procurator of Mauretania of Caesarea [2] . His wife was Rutili Prisca Sabiniana, the daughter of a praetor [3] . Two sons were born in their marriage: 138 consul-effect, Titus Cernerius Quincy, and 141 consul-effects, Titus Certernius Statian .
