Alexander Pavlovich Tokarev ( February 25, 1937 , Mines - March 2, 2016 , Starocherkasskaya ) - Soviet and Russian artist, art critic , collector , teacher. Collector and propagandist of folk art, director of the Rostov Art College. M. B. Biography
In 1952 - 1956 he studied at the Kuznetsk Metallurgical College with a degree in "Iron Production". From 1961 to 1968 he studied and graduated from the philological faculty of Rostov State University . In 1968 he graduated in absentia from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repin (art history department). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1975 .
He taught art history at the Rostov Art College [2] [3] . Tokarev's lectures were very popular among students of the RSU [4] [5] . From 1989 to 1997 - Director of the Rostov Art College. M. B. Grekova .
He was one of the few school teachers who supported young artists - members of the Art or Death Partnership .
In 2007, the Rostov Museum of Modern Art on Dmitrovskaya hosted the exhibition βDeclaration of Love - Starocherkasskβ from works in the collection of Alexander Tokarev [1] .
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Alexander Tokarev, an exhibition from his collection, which was created over 40 years [6], opened in the House of the Artist of the village of Starocherkasskaya.
Recent years, Alexander Pavlovich Tokarev lived and worked in the village of Starocherkasskaya [7] .
Passed away on March 2, 2016 [8] [9] .
