Croton nepalensis (lat.) - a species of dicotyledonous plants of the genus Croton ( Croton ) of the family Euphorbiaceae ( Euphorbiaceae ). First described by the Japanese botanist T. Kurosawa in 2004 [2] [3] .

The taxon is considered by some researchers as a synonym for Croton tiglium or Croton birmanicus , however, in recent publications Croton nepalensis is recognized as a separate species, indicating differences from other related species [4] .
It is close to the species of Croton tiglium , but differs from it in a number of characteristics [4] .
Leaves with a truncated, heart-shaped or rounded base, smaller than those of C. tiglium [4] .
The fruit is a wide egg-shaped capsule with small seeds [4] .
