Constitution of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

The Constitution of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus ( Turkish : Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti Anayasası ) was adopted at the constituent assembly of the TRNC after the Declaration of Independence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and approved by the Turkish Cypriot electorate in a referendum on May 5, 1985 with 70.2% of those who voted for ". The constitution resembles the 1975 constitution of the Turkish Provisional Republic of Northern Cyprus, but has several changes. The Constitution consists of 164 articles and 13 transitional articles.
